couv3z
I didn't even know it was on. I'm learning about pies on BBC2. omg that is what i am doing! beside 5th is a cheap and cra**ie they just bang on about mondeos and the practically side of life,, they miss the fun, stupidly expensive point that top gear has
Branners
I stick it on V+ so I can ffwd at 32x speed through the crap bits. Usually get about 20 minutes out of the hour of TV. Top Gear is a different league, but Fifth Gear makes a nice 20 minutes.

Branners
That's a good idea. I must use my Sky+ FF button more often. I use it for a lot of programmes. Gadget show for instance. I usually find something to do for the first 20 minutes and then start watching it on V+ and ffwd the adverts, the pointless 'coming next' bits and the competition. Makes it quite reasonable to watch.
marcAB10
never saw it tonight but I kind of like the fact they have mostly affordable everyday cars on the programme, it makes it different from Top Gear and gives you some advice on cars you might acctually consider purchasing. Altho I definately prefer Top Gear
AJI
i gave up watching 5th gear a long time ago..... i never understand why peole would want to watch a program about broing run of the mill everyday euro boxes. I mean these are cars anybody can go to their local dealer and ask for a test drive to find out for themselves. And watching these types of cars being driven round tracks is about as interesting as watching rust develop on a tin can. I find the presenters annoying too. Just my personal opinion by the way
michael
I don't mind the mundane element of the show, it's like a moving version of my weekly Auto Express subscription I guess but... I find the presenters annoying too. ...that's my main issue with it.
bigbloodyturbo
Gave up watchin 5th gear bacause everytime I put it on all they bang on about is how terrible it would be to get t-boned at a junction, then they set up a little model with old cars and smash them together, then they cry about it for a while which by this time has taken nearly half the program up, then the bit you've been waiting for which is tiff looning around in a couple of supercars with plato, is at the very end and lasts all of 5 mins. And the two new presenter guys(the hairy fat one and the skinny one that cant shave) just talk out of their arse and try and do clarkson impressions, by that i mean they say things like "oh, thats a brilliant car in every way"...."would you buy it?"....."NO, 'd buy the other one!" stupid as hell, they should just give the hours worth of telly to Tiff and Plato. UltraFlynn
I can watch it just as long as I don't have to listen or see Tiff. What a c0ck that man is.
Thorin
Speaking of run of the mill euroboxes... I liked that X-Bow but way too expensive. As for that "British" sports car, LS2 engine and left hand drive? What's that all about? Edit: and as for the presenters, the hog beast's squeals were annoying, and what's with that new bloke's trousers. He's worn the same ones every episode with the strange woollen turnup bits. He's odd, I don't like him.

Mike
Tiff is a legend I'm afraid, you're incorrect. I don't really put it under the same scrutiny as you all do... it's like like a 'Gadget show style' / 'light entertainment' programme. I with Branners with the 'do something for a bit and then Sky+FF through it' plan... What's with that blokes jeans with sock bits on the end? Last nights was particularly dull though, I agree. I love The Gadget Show. Proper Monday night telly that. Even better is that it's usually preceeded by something like 'Incredibly big things moving' or 'How things go very fast' or 'How incredibly big, fast moving things get built'. Thorin
what is it with the sock/jeans though... it's annoying me now! I noticed he was wearing them again this week, so I've just e-mailed this off to the team to get the definitive answer. I'll let you know once I get a reply. "Dear Fifth Gear team, It has been brought to my attention that the new guy appears to only own the one pair of (rather odd) trousers. Does he have problems finding ones that fit because of his tall stature, or perhaps he is still on some kind of free trial basis and as such cannot afford another pair yet? Regards, Michael." He may be a c0ck, but he did test drive (and enjoy) the Supra on Top Gear all those years ago, so he can't be all bad
