If you're after a car that just goes fast then i'd probably go with the majority on this one and say the r34.....

However, If you're after something with some sex appeal then It'd have to be the Aston DB7 V12 (26k on autotrader) a bit over budget and yes admittedly not as good at cornering as some and not as fast as some, oh and expensive servicing etc. BUT combined with an Armani suit and some expensive but tasteful sunglasses and changing your name to James Bond (i'm not entirely sure if i'm joking on that last one) and you'll have a combination that will make a lot of women weak at the knees (If you're married then ignore and get the r34 ;) )

There are of course Vette's if you don't mind LHD....

VERY cheap to run considering their performance.

£20k = C5 Z06 or std C6.

Agree with everything except the last bit. (Sorry, Alex)

You might get a C5 Z06 for that money, but to get one that's worth getting (well looked after, history and low-ish miles) I'd expect to spend a maybe couple of grand extra.

To get a standard C6 coupe, you'll definitely need to spend more than that. Unless you're very lucky (like I was. ;) ) you'll need to spend about £28k and upwards for a good C6 with reasonable miles. Even cheap ones with high mileage are currently around the £24k mark where I've been looking.

I don't mind being corrected though - find me a good one for £20k and I'll go and buy it!
