tbourner
Ooh, at a Guildford meet I had 2 young ish kids come up (about 10-11 maybe), and we were generaly chatting about the car, one of them said "How can you afford this car, you must have left school early?" WTF!! I told him I had to work hard, went to college and was now at University, and there's no way I would have got it without all that!

I thought uni students didn't have any money:blink: Student loans mate, the government lends upto £10,000, thats how i manged to have three cars before i am 30, and i am only 28, at 18 my 1st car was a ford escort finesse which got brand new in 1998, then sold it in 2004 and got a mint fully loaded Mitsubishi FTO GPX, then in 2007 sold the FTO and got the supra. The loan which you dont have to pay back till your earning over £16,000 a year, even when earning that amount they only take around £20 - £30 a month. It's 9% or 11% (cant remember which) of everything you earn (pre-tax) over £15,000. My student loan helped me live, so I'm not sure how you qualified for one if you were able to afford to blow it on cars!!

ManwithSupra
Got asked if my car was a deisel as it had turbos.... Was asked was that an FTO before i put a bodykit on it....however my car has a stock exterior !! I went to a local garage in lymington to see about a service a while back, the garage owner came out and said "oh yeah i know these...nice to work on... although had a few issues with the 4 wheel drive system" i said they dont have 4 wheel drive they only came in RWD in which he then pretty much argued back that they do... in which i left promptly. keancy
OMFG - some misfit said this to me in the McDonalds car park in Benson. Moments later his mate drove the Golf (a 8v MK3 GTi) straight into the drive thru barrier and smashed his front wing/headlamp That's brilliant lol had me laugh out loud in the Office. Good Job I am on my own. never had the fto or subaru comment tbh... Nor did I. I just get cheesy smiles from Blokes when they Realise a Woman drives a better Car then they do. " why do you have i love blackie on your car?" :rlol: Our Supra is parked below my Window of the Room I got my PC in. I spend quite a lot of time online and very often hear people Comment on the Supra as they walk past, which is amusing.
