michael
It's possible to spray most things. What do you want to spray it with and why?
c8sup
brought a second hand one and it cleaned up ok but wanted to spray it to give it a new look. Not sure what the best type/make of spray paint to do the job though
jacko
You just need to make sure the paint goes on thin, so it doesnt block up the outside of the fins. I wouldnt put something like Hammerite on it
michael
I'd stay away from the core completely and use a very thin coat of aluminium paint if I really couldn't clean it up with graft alone.
DannyB
This is becoming increasing popular over on Scoobynet now aswell, Black or Dark Anthrachite FMIC are all the rage. Michaels advice is spot on, but people on SN who have done it have not really noted much of a drop in overall performance and effiency from doing this! c8sup
thanks guys, its cleaned up as much as possible so i think a thin aluminum paint spray will finish it off nicely, i have been told 2-3 times about doing it black but not sure how it would look
mikeyb10supra
Brake cleaner or petrol(in small quantitys) and some elbow grease would bring it back to life......I personally wouldn't paint it Edited August 30, 2008 by mikeyb10supra (see edit history)
