tomgeer
I have just moved house so have just reconnected BT broadband on our desktop pc (windows xp pro) with no problems at all. Problem is I have just bought a toshiba L350 laptop (windows vista) and want to connect wirelessly to BT on it aswell as the desktop (desktop pc will be connected by USB). The modem I have is a BT Voyager 105 USB ADSL, I believe it is not compatable with windows vista which is on the laptop and that is my problem. So... which modem do I buy which I can use on the desktop pc (connected by USB) and also tap into the internet wirelessly from the laptop? I presume it has to be a BT one but I don't have a clue which one will work. Any advice would be great cheers guys Tom
AndyT
I'm running BT Voyager with Vista mate. If you have trouble, any new unit will run Vista now. Belkin seem to be the not preferred make, Linksys and Netgear preferred.
tomgeer
Thanks Andy, will they run the desktop pc via a USB cable too?
AndyT
Yes mate. Scooby's Vista computer runs on the cable I'm always wireless, haven't had problems. Both laptops though. Shouldn't make any difference. My Voyager is over 3 years old, but if it ain't broke.....

JustGav
Why not just use a usb wireless stick on the desktop then? Seems far easier than getting a new modem.
