Digsy
Due to a very frustrating MOT failure I'll shortly be in possession of a pair of Goodyear Eagle GSD3's in size 235/45 R17. One has about 1-2mm of wear (i.e. approx 6mm of tread depth remaining). Otherwise its fine and running on my car at the moment. The other one has just failed an MOT. The innermost ring of chevrons that are not actually joined to the main tread area are worn away, but apart from that there is between 2 and 4mm thread left across the rest of the tyre. Anyway, because I had a non-repairable puncture about a year ago and had to replace one tyre, I have much less wear on the "good" side. However, this time I can't replace just one tyre because Goodyear don't do them anymore and I've had to order a new pair of asymmetrics instead. I'd quite like to get some dosh back on the good tyre (1 year old). Whoever gets it is welcome to have the other one for free at their own risk if they want. £50 for the good tyre. Much easier if someone calls to collect as I don't want to get into sending items this size around. Tyres will be off the car this Friday (29th August). If I don't get an offer before then they'll go in the skip.
CarlT67
If you can send for £50 then i'd be interested... Check out this website for postage, always very reasonable http://www.parcel2go.com/
Digsy
Based on a 70x70x24cm parcel, 2-4 day delivery is about £8 so I'll wear that for just sending you the usable tyre. If you want the pair I'll have to ask you to pay for delivery of one of them. If you want both I'll have to send them as two separate parcels because the cost for shipping them as a single 70x70x48cm bundle is a LOT higher. If you want to go ahead, please get back to me before midday on Friday 29th with your delivery address. I'd prefer a direct bank transfer for payment if you can do that. If not I'll take a cheque but I'll need to receive it before I send the tyre off. If you want any photos of the tyre(s) condition, send me your e-mail as soon as possible and I'll get some to you. Thanks,
CarlT67
I didn't realise they were asymmetrics, that would make it pretty much unusable to me as I would need a matching eagle, (same situation as you). Unless the one GOOD one is a front nearside as I could match this with a very good front right pilot I have as a back up pair.
Digsy
They're not assymetric - they are directional - in any case you can put either on either side, but I guess you want to match the worn side. Anyway, you're in luck. The good tyre is indeed the front nearside one
