Guest DarrenLee
Hello Everyone My name is Darren and I am very new to the Supra world and even Jap Cars. I have had fast cars in the past (BMW, VXR, MG260) but I fancy a Supra and have been searching for ages to find one with a good spec and price as its only going to be a weekend car. I was wondering if you could help??? I saw one: http://www.01543.com/carsales/listingview.php?listingID=2573 and I was wondering what you thought and what comnpany do I need to visit to start modifying body and engine?? Thanks:D
Gaz6002
Hi mate. Firstly, buy a Supra from this website or Pistonheads, as most are a known quantity. Second, have a word with Envy Performance on here about mods. I think you'll like the Supra
couv3z
never heard of them but there are some good traders on here that have and can get you cars

Supradoopa
There's two guides on here... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=60 Most of the traders will be able to sort you out with parts etc. Envy are close by I believe, Bedlington, very good service. Have a look on the supra classified's on here aswell, there's a lot of bargains at the minute. Oh and by the way

Guest DarrenLee
Hi and welcome mate,i too have an aerotop, personally i think that one is a bit pricey How much should I look to pay for it??? If I can get it for a cracking price it might be worth it and leave a bit money to spend on mods
Lbm
How much should I look to pay for it??? If I can get it for a cracking price it might be worth it and leave a bit money to spend on mods Hello Darren and welcome What mods were you thinking of? You are aware that the car appears to be a non-turbo? Might be an idea to find a Twin Turbo, so no immediate performance mods need to be done

Might be an idea to find a Twin Turbo, so no immediate performance mods need to be done More styling modifications (Bodykit, New Interior) and some power tweaking with new induction and exhaust system. Maybe a remap if worth it.
Guest DarrenLee
Its only going to be a weekend car so I only have about £5k to spend on buying car.
Gaz6002
Maybe a remap if worth it. You can't economically remap a Supra. Better off getting a TT and going BPU. £1000 will get you 400bhp... you can't say that about many cars.
Guest DarrenLee
Sounds good - so really I should get a TT is what you are saying. Any difference between insurance groups on non turbo and turbo??

Usually depends where you live but make sure they're quoting you on a mkiv, imported TT rather than a mkiii or a UK spec. Sky would be a good company to talk to.
