123tom123tom
am putting a 3" bore by 6" long flexi into my exhaust system, but was wondering do i have to put it in the down pipe from the turbo or can i put it in the start of the second decat.... or will there be too much strain on it there. bignum
It needs to go in the downpipe really, then a support bracket of some kind fixing the end of the exhaust/2nd cat to the gearbox to take the weight of the exhaust and stress off the flexi. Yes agreed, mine is in the down pipe just before the join, but i went for a 3" long, i also modified the original stay that fits to the gearbox. That sounds like a right pig of a job, especially as there isn't that much room there.
