fruity_south
iv read up on loads of threads about people having problems with sqeeks on braking. i was one of those people. and some of which never solved it even when changing fluid or discs, or pads. well mine have now gone, (well almost, very slight sqeek it light braking) but no where near as bad. i ued one of these after a friend who owns a skyline bought one for his, he said he only noticed a slight difference but i however noticed a sharper braking time and the loss of that anoying sqeek. ok they seem pricey for a little bit of metal but it does work, and i think well worth it. thought i should let you all know. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Supra-Soarer-Lexus-SC300-Brake-Cylinder-Stopper_W0QQitemZ200248070366QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item200248070366&_trkparms=72%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 dave
gordy07
How does that work then?
merckx
How does that work then? This BCS is designed to reduce the movement of the brake master cylinder whenever the brake is applied. More sharp and direct feeling can be felt from the brake pedal.
fruity_south
mounting it on the suspension area, it has a stop on it that touches the brake tank thing (technical term). when you break the tank and cylinder rock forward, this stops that from happening. cant explain how that makes the brake improve but somehow it does. hadyn
I dunno if they improve braking, but they do give a firmer feel on the brake pedal. I'd buy one if someone else confirms they eliminate brake squeaking!!
fruity_south
well i can pretty much garantee, it has done away with mine. i agree they are firmer but doesnt firming braking mean improved braking.
Nic
A brace for the brake master cylinder solved squeaky brakes? What was the problem? I use the Cusco BMC brace I was surprised at the difference it made to the pedal feel. If you get someone to press the brake and watch the BMC, there can be a lot of flex.
