bolarbag
A family friend not too good with the ole' net has a desire to own a goldfinch like he had many years ago, not having a clue about birds, I said I will check, are they illegal to keep as a pet now? and if not, anyone know of any recommended breeders? Maybe a question for Master Zoo Keeper CW;)
garethr
There's a magazine called Cage and Aviary Birds. Might be a good place to start. Found this ad from last year: http://www.birdtrader.co.uk/birds/BT08131
Thorin
No idea, we get greenfinches in our garden though. I don't rate my chances of catching one for you.
bolarbag
:dFrom what I've gathered their noisy little b*rstewards, good job he's almost deaf! Birds appear to be quite difficult to get hold of, I may place an add in one of those sites for him cheers
Chris Wilson
Catching and keeping wild birds is definitely illegal in the UK, but some don't worry. As someone has said, Cage and Aviary Birds is a good place to look. You need to perhaps put a wanted ad in, (very cheap).
