Installed HIDs on Full Beams

Installed some HIDs for full beams, so for people who were thinking about it I thought Id say that yes they do flash briefly at full brightness if you want to flash someone to give way ect... then they dip and then get brighter again if you hold the handle back.

Will do some pics and a vid tonight if anyone wants to see.

thats what i thought, i wanted to put HID's in my full beam but was told that I couldn't do it because it would mean switching the light on an off, was told switching the HID lamp on and off repeatedly drastically shortens its life, thats why OE manufacturers use a solenoid driven flap to block the light while your on dipped and then lower the flap to allow the light through when your on full beam instead of switching it on and off.

I've got the full set and it's passed MOT twice like it.

Ballasts are scattered all round the bumper area, wherever there was a gap to bolt in to...but they are all hidden away.

Running all three sets of lights down country lanes at night is awesome - like daytime!
