Hi guys,

I am selling a Renault Clio Diesel that I got with the intention of being a cheap family runabout and keeping the miles off my other car.

The car is a Cat D write off that I has had very light damage so can be repaired easily.

The car details are as follows:

2002 '02 Plate

Blue

Renault Clio Dynamique Dci 65 (3 Door Hatchback)

1.5 Diesel Engine

89K Miles,

3 Door

£35 YEARLY ROAD TAX

65.7MPG COMBINED CYCLE FUEL ECONOMY

The Spec of the Dynamique Model (which is one of the highest specs) can be read here:

http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/renault/clio-2001.aspx?page=7

The car has been a Cat D write off, but has Very Light Panel Damage, No Suspension damage, No Airbag damage and is a straight forward repair. The car runs and drives fine.

The main parts that are needed is a door, a rear qtr and a front wing to get the car back on the road. The parts that are required are the following:

Door (INCLUDED IN THE SALE - no dents with trim and glass)

Front Wing - £20 + Vat from Euro Car Parts (its just plastic!)

Rear qtr - None genuine is approx £100 or you can get cheaper from a scrap yard.

Car has full serivice history and is an easy repair. None damaged Clio 1.5dci Diesels with the Dynamique spec of a similar specification and age are around the £3k mark at least.

The V5 Logbook will have to be applied for.

I'm sure if you do your research you will find this Clio a bargain and ideal for someone who wants a cheap second car when they are not driving their Supra. :D

Looking for just £1650 before I put it on ebay.

Exactly mate.......... I mean Insurance companies wouldn't get a second hand rear qtr. They would have to get genuine, same with the door and the wing. A lot of bodyshops that do insurance work seem to have higher prices for insurance work too that are + Vat so a private job along with parts sourced from a breakers is much much cheaper. :)

I'm sure when an insurance company looked to get this repaired, the bodyshop would want to use brand new dealer priced parts, paint the whole front end and both doors, just to blend the color in which would easily have cost more then what I am asking for the whole car.

I know some are uneasy about a Cat D car, but I have been open and honest. I personally don't have any problem with a Cat D car as long as it is the right car with only panel damage.
