supra_surj
Hi guys I have recently put on set of WEDS SA70s 9x18 245/40/18 front, 10x18 285/35/18 rear. I had 19s on before this and hardly had any tramling. Since I changed the wheels I have been to see Tony at wheels inmotion twice now but we cant seem to get rid of the tramlining im getting. We even did a slight toe in which helped alittle. Question is... is it the wider wheels that is causing this? DOes anyone else have this problem/solution? Sometimes driving the Supra feels very unstable as the sudden direction change from the steering. Really want to get this sorted. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. miko_supra
your suspension arms were probably over stressed with the 19's i would have imagined. get it down to AFR if you can for a quick butchers and a geo set up. mine tramlined like a bitch and the nice fellas down there sorted it out a treat

I did. Or go for Centre of gravity as per SteveR and Ashbhp. Or, further afield is Mr Wilson.
Swampy442
Whats the offset? Alot of cars respond badly to reduced offsets, also overly wide tyres will track badly. IMo 235 is the most you need on the front

Swampy442
Also 235 on the front of the Soarer, but a 35 offset doesnt help things. Its not nervous but you do notice things
dangerous brain
I'd expect wheels in motion to know their sh*t. An extra cm on the front shouldn't make all that much difference. Did you change tyre brands when you changed the wheels?
supra_surj
Thanks guys, will be booking it in with afr. Wheels in motion are very good at what they do which makes me think its not a geo problem. I have got different tyres to what I had before, eagle f1s now. But the tyres are wider than my last set. Someone said it maybe the steering column. Would that cause this to happen? Not sure on the offset, they are stonkins old wheels.
