Guest 38super
Has anyone fitted the VVTI auto from the TT to an earlier model? I'm aware that they have tiptronic but do you have to use this feature? Are there any other differences that would make it an unsuitable swap? Any help much appreciated Edited August 23, 2008 by 38super (see edit history)

bigbloodyturbo
if its the same how does the tiptronic part work then? I would love it if i could put my auto it into 3rd and leave it there without it shifting down or up mid corner.

bigbloodyturbo
i do flick overdrive of and that helps alot, i hate it when it keeps changing up to 4th just because i lifted my foot an 1/8" of the throttle, but the OD button solved that. But the manu button doesn't hold it in 3rd for me, it still occasionally shifts to 2nd when i'm leaving a corner, sometimes it really upsets the car when it does it because the shift to second can be quite violent
