Cold Problem

Franko

Recommended Posts

When im driving my car for say 30 secs - 1 minute after i start the engine i have a problem where i cannot rev the engine past 2000 revs. The revs just die when i try to take it past that point.

This morning when driving to work it was really bad, i had to stop let it warm up for say like 2 minutes before i could drive anywhere.

Possibly the coolant temp sensor m8 - if it's feeding the wrong information to the ECU then the appropriate extra fuelling compensation won't be happening for a cold start / running.

Have you tried checking your ECU for fault codes? It might throw up something which could confirm - there is a guide on here how to do it, just run a search.

Cheers,

Brian.
