Hi guys,

I have a bit of a steering shudder. Ive put on new and balanced wheels but its still there. Going round a corner to the right produces a scary shudder and feels as if the wheels are trying to go a different direction, round to the left is ok.

Anyone have any tips to fix this as I dont know a great deal at the moment ?

Might this be the geometry ? I had the car checked when i bought it but the guy said it wasn't needing a geometry.

Could do with some help folks as this is staring to wind me up. PLEASE HELP

Cheers !

Yes mate the wheels are brand new out the box. I took off the tyres from my old wheels to put on them. Ok i'll set about getting a geometry cheers mate. Im hoping its something simple but as i said i really have no idea just now

Yes mate I will do that but i was just seeing if maybe anyone had experienced the same thing and could give me an idea. I notice its the facelift model you have. its what i also have. Is there i big difference to the older one reference the VVT-i ?

I totally understand mate, I hope you didn't think I was meaning you wouldn't get a solution here, I was just guessing that you want this problem fixing ASAP and an internet solution can be a long drawn out affair with lots guesswork & elliminations, whereas a garage with the car infront of them could probably have that sussed in a couple of hours if they are worth their salt.

I understand you thought process though that if others have experienced this it will give you a number of possible solutions :)

In a nutshell non-vvti is slightly cheaper to tune with regard to the head (cams) & the lack of issues controlling the vvti with an aftermarket ecu. VVTi is more powerfull in stock form though.
