Fire148
I think I may have a problem with my TC, but I'm not 100% sure ... When moving up through the gears at WOT, I get to about 5k RPM and about 1.1bar(ish) and my TC kicks in ... maybe 9 times out of 10, esp. when in 2nd or 3rd gear. I have brand new bridgestone RE050A's fitted all round (at 32psi) on stock 17's with stock VVTi REAS suspension. With my previous tyres (almost bald michelins) this did not happen, and I have also recently had the second cat removed. The boost controller is set to about 1.1bar with mildly aggressively gain, running 99ron fuel, FMIC etc etc.... So I am wondering ... is this to be expected and I need more grippy tyres than the bridgestones, or is my TC struggling and I need to look at RLTC, or am I seeing a weakness in my suspension ? I guess I was expecting more from the RE050A's but could be wrong ? Any comments guys ?

Any comments guys ? the Bridgestone RE050 is a pretty damm good all rounder and in the dry i have found it is a very grippy tyre, however as daft as it sounds a nearly bald set of decent tyres would "outgrip" them (in the wet they would be a nightmare) are you sure this is the T/C kicking in it sounds more like fuel cut, does it still do it with the T/C turned off ? TTRickeh
In 2nd I can usually get the TC to kick in when it's dry, never usually 3rd. I can get the TC on in 3rd if it's wet. I'm running 0.9bar and have Eagle F1's. How new are your tyres? They need a little bit of time to bed in. If you have the spare cash i'd go for the RLTC it couldn't be worse than the stock TC. Otherwise just turn the TC off and learn when it's going to spin up and drive accordingly
