geoffvalenti
hey,, whats the insurance of a single turbo like compared to a Twin Turbo? also are they as reliable as the twin turbo's out the factory? I can't comment on the difference in insurance price, but its not going to be cheaper just because its only got one turbo As for the reliability; Reduced reliability is a price you have to pay for greater performance, so no, it's not going to be as reliable as a standard factory car, but its probably not going to be breaking down every 100 miles either. Reduced reliability "could" mean that it'll only do 150k rather than 300k without a rebuild. Who knows Sounds like a nice spec car. Have fun:D
Homer
When I was looking for a supra around a year ago I got a few quotes together, heres the best of them: UK TT 6spd - £650 Jap TT 6spd - £1000 Jap 6 spd 500bhp single - £3000 I've talked to a few more companies in the last few months and prices do seem a bit more affordable. Some companies will only charge you a few hundred extra for the single, other thousands. Have a look at the club insurance posts, also try a-plan in Thatcham. Edited to add that i'm 28 yrs old, 10 yrs+ no claims, no points, medium crime rate area. If you're under 25 then you'll be lucky to get a quote IMO. Alex
Going single cost me £100 on my insurance and I'm 25 with full no claims on a limited milage policy for a cherished car.
