Guest brad26-supra
Is it possible for two different rolling roads to give out different readings. I put my N/A on one around 9 months ago and it came out at 224.5 at the flywheel. Ive recently put it on again at a different garage and it came out at 170. The guy seemed pretty clueless because he said their original bhp is 150 which I know is bull s@$t. Also the latter garage never let me watch it and never produced a graph for me unlike the first garage I went to. Im just wondering which to believe. Has anyone experianced similar problems. Thanx
Wez
Yes, different dynos can give very different readings if they are not setup the same.
Guest brad26-supra
can they really be that far apart. which would you say would be the most accurate reading of the two. I dont have a problem keeping up with the likes or leon turbos, mr2 turbos, etc so im assuming my bhp will be around the 224.5 mark. If not i think im right in saying the original bhp for the N/A was 225 and if the reading of 170 is right could my car have lost that much power over the years even though its had regular services.thanks
Wez
225fwhp is about right I think. Do you have both plots you can post up?

AndyT
sorry mate youve lost me, im new to all this. Plots??? Graphs provided by the dyno people. BHP, torque etc.
Guest brad26-supra
Well the second garage never gave me a graph at all, they just wrote the power output on the receipt (thought they were cowboys to be honest). The first garage gave me a graph print out with the 224.5 max power on it but i dont have it on my computer. The same day I did the power run with the 224.5 output there were several other supras doing the test and their power output came out as they expected so im swayed to believe this one over the more recent one, would i be right doing so or just take them both for face value. Nic
Was the 170hp figure at the wheels? That could account for the difference.
Multics
Was the 170hp figure at the wheels? That could account for the difference. That sounds possible, when my NA went on the dyno the graph showed 225 on the flywheel and 170 on the wheels. That was pretty much the average of all NA's that went on the dyno that day. Blackie
My n/a was dynoed at 247.6 bhp and its TRUE

Guest brad26-supra
The 170 was aparently at the flywheel and they said it was 156 at the wheels, thats what is confusing to me. Thanks for your input gents, its much appreciated.
