michael
I'm not a fan of heights but the view from the top floor should be impressive... http://gizmodo.com/assets/images/gizmodo/2008/08/burj_dubai_1009.jpg More David Hobcote shots in the link below: http://gizmodo.com/5039300/real-sim-city-comes-to-life-in-the-desert One of the houses on those little islands has been built too, still too close to the neighbours but it's a start I guess

MrHanky
Cool. My brother stopped by Dubai on the way to his honeymoon in the Maldives. Whilst there he jumped in a cab and asked to go see the Burj. The cab drivers just basically drive onto the building site its on and you can go have a look. Phot's and video of it look impressive. Apparently they are going to be building something even taller, also in Dubai Mark

charlton
Its crazy to look at it when you are there - from a distance it doesn't look as high as it is but when you get close its unreal
Scott
Looks about as tall as godzilla. King kong wouldn't even have a look in at climbing that. Stunning photo.

Animal
It's not going to be long before we get a skyscraper 1 kilometre high. There is some seriously good engineering going on right now, especially in the middle east.

Animal
Not a qualified engineer, but better than your average CAD monkey. I know AutoCAD inside out and have been working with it since release 9, 18 years ago.

juanchan
Blatantly put the top bit on just to be 'the biggest' And also to say "Thanks for the oil money - look how much we've ripped you off by :d". I'm not sure I'd be up for swimming outdoors when 78 floors off the ground, but an impressive bit of engineering nonetheless.
