Thorin
It was a joke petition, they've issued a joke response.... and people are upset that someone in government has a sense of humour? Good on em I say.

Mike_Mac
To be honest I thought it was quite funny and merely entering into the spirit of things - unless you think Clarkson for PM is a genuine political issue that is worth serious debate? It's not surprising to see the Daily (hate)Mail managing to find a way to rage and scream about it either. I'm surprised they haven't also accused the video of causing cancer from the way that article goes on. BTW I don't particularly like the current government much either, but give them a bit of a break for God's sake!

Good on em I say. Exactly. Typical Mail stirring the pot again too: "One signatory Steve Rowley fumed: 'Do they seriously have nothing better to do with their time and my money! 'I signed the petition in good faith that they take these things seriously.' " Yeah, sure you did sonny. Just like the rest of us you signed up to a joke petition for a laugh and to see what reaction it would get. Guess what, it got a joke reaction - live with it. ADL Mark
Agree with Thorin. If you signed that thinking it was serious and that they might actually make JC the PM then you need to have your right to vote taken away. People bitch and moan about the government all the time, and when they actually try to do something a bit light-hearted they get slammed. Can't win can they. And tax payers money? Let's face it, that took no time at all to knock up, find something important to moan about people!
sdavies
I actually hadn't seen or signed the petition, I was simply chuckling about the whole thing after being pointed at it. I thought it was a daft / funny response of sorts - and as for the Daily Mail - good grief do they bitch. I don't normally read it I just found the pertinent link indirectly while searching for a re-post on here . Oh and I love the "New Thread" keyword matching stuff, that works a treat! p.s. the government sucks!
