Nic
Duff oxygen sensors, the ECU will have defaulted to very rich setting causing poor fuel economy, time to fit a new pair.

Swampy442
Thats roughly 16 mpg. If you were booting it then its a fair figure, if not then Id deffo go for an O2 sensor. Toyota sell the, but you might not like the price...

Nic
i take it thats really bad fuel eco then? where can i get o2 sensors? toyota? Oxygen sensors have a limited life, once the sensors go then the ECU defaults to a rich setting to protect the engine, resulting in poor fuel economy. The sensors contain precious metals so are not exactly cheap and you will need 2 on an NA, saying this with the price of fuel as it is now, they should pay for themselves fairly quickly in fuel savings. Your local Toyota dealer should be able to supply if you want to pay through the nose or if you can wait a few weeks I can supply brand OEM oxygen sensors at a significant saving. I'll pm you details.

Konrad
When you are waiting for new O2 sensors, you can use temporary solution and clean old ones, it should keep them going for some time. You will need to change them anyway, as it was said before, they have limited lifespan and cannot be refurbished. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=152779&highlight=sensors+clean
