Evo 6

Well I went to look at an evo 6 today,

Looked like it could have been nice

Offered me full price on my car against his which I thought was good

So after finally arranging to meet half way in leicester (as opposed to 130miles away) we had a look around

It pulls up and looked amazing, then I put my glasses on

OMG

Over spray,

Dented rear boot, which under closer investigation revealed filler all on the inside of the boot

And cracking bottom end of the car around the front and the back which has been filled in with something or other

Tatty interior etc

Car didn’t idle too great either, but maybe a trait of a 6, so didn’t judge that.

But the first thing I spotted 5seconds after he got here….

Keighley trade centre on the damn Reg plate……. jog on mate!

I just humoured him to see how bad it was as I knew from that point it was a no go!

And it was bad!

Didn’t even test drive it!

I said mate, you told me it was imported by F1 autos, half decent.

If id have known it was from KTC I wouldn’t have wasted my time!!

Back to square one then!

Lol I thought this was a rant against the Evo 6 as a car! Thats the risk you take with used cars, but its worse you drove 60 miles to find that out :(

Id rather lose 60 miles then end up with a pile of crap but i still understand how annoying it is when they are not honest with you.

Thanks for the spelling in the Tags (keighley)

It was the major factor for me tbh, if it wasnt from there it was still a heap

But i never thought id have experience with one of there cars, especially after telling so many people to give them a wide birth!

Oh well, could of travelled the full 130miles like i nearly did saturday to find out!

Sorry to hear your hunt for a proper car ;) got scuppered at the main hurdle.

My supra was advertised so honestly about even the most minor of issues with it, that it actually gave me some confidence when buying that nothing else/major was about to break.

Keep us posted on your future purchase :)
