How is Necessary For 550Hp 1994 Supra Turbo?

Hi, what is necessary to have 550-600 hp?

I have a Turbonetics Gt-66 single turbo with 6-1 Collettors, external westegate Turbonetics, HKS SSQV, inox manifold, Trust Intercooler Biggest Front, AEM ECU, gauges: turbo, air/fuel, oil temp and pressure, volt and exahust temp.

Clutch ok for 600 hp and flywheel fidanza.

Now i have a complete set of ergal pulley, fuel pressure regulator..

What i change for have about 600 HP? Without problem...

I'm guessing English isn't his first language. Mind you, he already speaks better English than I do Italian - plus he uses punctuation which is a breath of fresh air for a newbie on here these days.

 

I'm sure somoene will be along shortly to fill in the gaps of what is required for 600hp from a Turbo Supra, apart from what he has bought already.

I'd not be happy with the stock pressure cast pistons, I'd put some decent forged ones in it, preferably on steel rods, but certainly I'd put some decent rod bolts in the stock rods after having them re sized. it'll need cams to breathe well at that sort of output. Which cams depends on usage required, but 264 / 264 is the minimum.

 

If you want reliability on track you will have to make proper supports for the turbo and wastegate, just leaving them swinging on the tubular manifold will result in cracking. I'd want to know the material that these Turbonetics turbos use for the turbine housing. Genuine Garrett ones are Niresist, and don't crack or warp in external wastegate form. A lot of cheap turbos are just grey cast iron, and they do not like high temperatures and will warp and blow, or even crack.

It depends how detailed you want us to go. At a high level you're only missing the injectors and fuel pump, but there's hundreds of other 'little' parts you'll need.

 

Can you give to me the list of these "little" parts?

I would like to have 600 Hp but during on time..

This is just an examplke (and was not ideal due to the poor choice of the XS power parts), but it does hit on a few key parts needed for any conversion. If you go with an aftermarket inlet manifold and fuel rail then there's quite a bit to add to it.

 

It was posted to illustrate the costs of a basic conversion (in the end it cost another £2k). There is another good thread in tech which I'll try and find now...

This is witrhout touching the bottom end or head. If you're going for more than 600bhp (450-500ibft) then you should rebuild the bottom end, so an extra £4-5k
