I have no doubt that the service you have received has made a huge difference to the car. You are also quite keen on your track days aren't you where a setup like that must be worth its weight in gold. I personally don't think that an owner with a road only / pleasure driven car that wont be seeing the track would be able to justify £400 so was just offering another option in to the mix
SteveR
I have no doubt that the service you have received has made a huge difference to the car. You are also quite keen on your track days aren't you where a setup like that must be worth its weight in gold. I personally don't think that an owner with a road only / pleasure driven car that wont be seeing the track would be able to justify £400 so was just offering another option in to the mix Maybe, but I do like my car to handle in a predictable manner on the road (as well as the track) and it wasn't before the geo setup - and all important corner weighting - was done. I think the problem was that it'd had after market suspension fitted but suspect it was never properly aligned (or maybe it was one day but had slipped over time... not convinced but it's possible). I guess people on stock suspension shouldn't have such bad issues as mine suffered, but in the words of Chris at Centre Gravity, it was dangerous (and felt it, too - completely ruining my enjoyment of the car on a day to dfay basis, not just its ability on track). Have a look at those before ("initial measurement") figures. Each to their own, but anyone fitting strut braces, new suspension (especially significantly lower spring ) etc etc needs to think about their priorities and what they think they're trying to achive Vs what they are going to achive if the geo isn't looked at. For starters strut braces achieve little on a car with coilovers, stiffer anti roll bars would be a much better idea - if indeed they are geninely needed(!) - but they're not bling so who bothers...
