Nic
I would only ever fit a stock OEM Toyota harmonic balancer/crank pulley. Have a read here of it's function http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35945
garethr
"underdrive" pulley? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underdrive_pulleys (I wouldn't take all of that article as gospel, but it does accurately describe an underdrive pulley) Edited August 12, 2008 by garethr (see edit history)
Lee P
Which pulley did you get for it? Some of them are ok to use. The ATL (Titan) and boostlogic ones look smaller because they dont have the large back plate on them but the surface the belt sits on is the same diameter as stock and they have the balancer. Tell us which one you have or post a pic and we can let you know. alright. the bottom pulley went on my car the other day so i bought a light weight pulley. after taking everything apart to get to the pulley i noticed the light weight one is quite alot smaller. is it ok to put on by its self? info would be much appreciated. cheers.
