Dann
I am fitting a air fuel ratio guage to my car and one of the wires has to go to the ecu. Which wire going into the ecu is the air fuel ratio one ? Many thanks Dann
JustGav
Are you running an aftermarket ECU? If not, then there is not need to connect up as the stock ecu will have no use for it as it expects a narrow band signal.
Dann
no am running standard ecu but i want to see if she is lean or rich. so i got a autoguage, guage and the instructions tell me to connect the grey wire to the singal from ecu. think thats right. JustGav
A narrow band AFR isn't going to help you at all to be honest.

jacko
wideband gauge. AEM would be your best option
JustGav
A proper wideband AFR gauge is always a good investment, as and when you start tuning it is a vital part. They are a little more expensive than the three light narrow band style but they are infinitely more practical.
Dann
ok cool thanks. I guess i will remove this guage from the pillar pod for now and source a wide band effort.
Tricky-Ricky
I would always advise an Innovate LM-1 or 2, better rich range and added data-logging;) good prices here, http://www.apexperformance.co.uk/ Edited August 11, 2008 by Tricky-Ricky (see edit history)
