Because you can nick it and change its identiy to something real to take off the heat and make 10K. It is done on lesser cars for a few grand. Jake Posted March 2, 2005 Share Posted March 2, 2005 Well...if you had read my initial post then you'd had realised that these dodgy gits ARE ringing Supras like ours, I have personally come across one example in my search of a Supra. No Doubts people in the business who deal with these cars day in day out can comment on how wide spread this practice is. I did read your post but I don't see how posting your chassis number on its own can hurrt you or much help a criminal. All the possible chassis numbers are out there on the net anyway. I thought you were suggesting that we remove the chassis number from our cars! I assume the chassis number was originally posted in the first post but has now been removed.
