keancy
I am meant to have an Operation on Wednesday morning. Routine day patient procedure that won't last longer then 30 minutes. But I seem to have a slightly scratchy Throat all for a sudden, at this point I don't know if it's just nerves or a Cold developing but what are the chances they will still go ahead with the anaesthetic if I have got a slight Cold?? Bit of a random post I know but just wondering if anyone has any idea or experience on this?? Thanks

SupraAyf
Sounds as if you're down on your fluids at the moment - start drinking lots of water (i.e. full cup per hour) and that should get you back on track;)
Chris Wilson
What's a sore throat got to do with smacking you over the head with a mallet and opening you up big style....?

What's a sore throat got to do with smacking you over the head with a mallet and opening you up big style....? They don't like giving you an anesthetic if you have a cold init. Took some of that First Defence Nasal Spray see if that does anything

Rob
They don't like giving you an anesthetic if you have a cold init. They'll probably just whack a bit more ether into you, then rely on the old shock paddles to bring you back if it goes tits up and you arrest mid-op. I wouldn't worry about it. Gerry
What you need is James Robertson Justice in full "Doctor in the House" mode Loved that guy... "What's The Bleeding-Time" ? etc... Just out of interest (only to me I'm sure) but he was a falconer and is buried on a grouse moor at Spinningdale in the Highlands.
