Not being funny but have you checked your brake fluid level?

The level warning indicator is very sensitive and could lead to the effects you are seeing under acceleration/deceleration or even steepish hills. If this is the problem then the brake warning light should also illuminate at the same time as the MIL.

Make sure your brake fluid is at least up to the max. line or even a little higher when the car is stood on a level surface.

Hope that helps! :)

Edit: Just read through your brilliant NA>TT write-up - bloomin' good work!

I'll give it a few more drops and see if that helps cheers

Are you looking at the correct light? The warning light in the tach is not the right one, it's the orange engine check light on the right side warning panel you need to watch out for.

If it's not lighting up, it could be the old dry solder issue. When you first turn the key onto '2' there should be 3 lights lit there and an ABS light (if it has it)

Hi - Very nice article. I also did the swap and everything works really well except the NA tach does not work with either the ECU or Igniter Tach output. How did you resolve that issue with your swap. dale

You have to fit a TT tach mate for it to work :)
