merckx
Anything to do with the TT transplant? Obviously you have bridged E1 and TE1 with a permanent link?
spartan
Are you sure you're looking at the correct light? I think the first post in the FAQ thread has been edited to make it clearer which light you should be looking at ...
miko_supra
Yeah I bridged the circuit. The ecu is detecting some sort of fault because when i let off the accelerator and let the revs come down the warning like comes one for a couple of seconds every now and again
spartan
Not being funny but have you checked your brake fluid level? The level warning indicator is very sensitive and could lead to the effects you are seeing under acceleration/deceleration or even steepish hills. If this is the problem then the brake warning light should also illuminate at the same time as the MIL. Make sure your brake fluid is at least up to the max. line or even a little higher when the car is stood on a level surface. Hope that helps! Edit: Just read through your brilliant NA>TT write-up - bloomin' good work! Edited August 9, 2008 by spartan (see edit history)

merckx
Even if there aren't any faults the orange light should flash at a constant rate.
Homer
Are you looking at the correct light? The warning light in the tach is not the right one, it's the orange engine check light on the right side warning panel you need to watch out for. If it's not lighting up, it could be the old dry solder issue. When you first turn the key onto '2' there should be 3 lights lit there and an ABS light (if it has it)
miko_supra
Resolved this today. Just put a splash of brake fluid in as it was on the min mark and the light has gone away. Haven't retried my fault codes though
Guest captdale
Hi - Very nice article. I also did the swap and everything works really well except the NA tach does not work with either the ECU or Igniter Tach output. How did you resolve that issue with your swap. dale
