Gaz6002
http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/Aston-Martin-Concepts/234363/ The One-77’s engine, a re-engineered, 7.0-litre version of the current V12 rated at about 650bhp, should make it faster than any existing Aston and push top speed beyond 220mph. Um.... I'll take two.

Gaz6002
I've just read that if you were to buy this car you'd have almost unlimited choice over how you'd like your car configured. You can ask for a 2+2, convertible, you can take part in development of the suspension to make it perfect for you and you can take part in tyre testing, to name a few things. It's a leap into the unknown in terms of the concept of the car. I'm very much looking forward to seeing it on the road.
RedM
Just been reading about this. Thank god for search! What a beautiful car. 700 ponies too. *runs off to check lottery*

This is true, I believe that the cost of the car will cover such things as track testing with our engineers and possibly engineers from the brake, suspension and tyre manufacturer engineers. Either at our test track at Gaydon or possible at Nardo/Nurburgring where we do a lot of testing. We also have our new(ish) test facility at the ring where we will no doubt do a lot of the testing. Lots of funky stuff going into this car too, proper road going concept car stuff.

ivan
Surely it's not worth a 1 million premium over a 'normal' Aston though?
erol_h
does look great kinda reminds me of a cross between a z06 corvette and a v8 vantage
Soonto_HAS_soop
Surely it's not worth a 1 million premium over a 'normal' Aston though? Imagine how much money goes into the development of a Ford Focus, they are cheap cars because they make hundreds of thousands of them. The price of this is so high, because those same costs are being split over a much smaller number of cars. It's the price you pay for exclusivity and for probably never actually seeing another one on the road. Of course, with only 77 being produced lots of people will never actually see one at all. Conrad
Anyone know how many Veyrons have been sold? I have seen one of them and so has a mate, hell Jamie raced one. Doubt he'll ever get to race one of these though...
Ewen
Its gorgeous. But then so is Heidi Klum, and I will never get to turn her on either.

The AML Engineering building is a nice place to work.
imi
Front looks a bit ugly to be honest http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7922372.stm and http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/aston-martin-one-77 and a price tag of £1.2M makes it a good bargain especially during this economical climate.....well done Aston - right business sense as usual. Havard
What is so good about it then. If it's not 12 times better than a DB9 then it's a waste of money...... H.
Alex
That was announced ages ago and I believe all are sold so I guess they arn't so silly... What's so good, well exclusivity sells. Then there's the fact it's entirely made of composites. Whether it's worth it is subjective, but as it says in the article, there are still rich car collectors.
