pezzler
yeah, thought it may have been the injectors, just that ive never noticed it before, didnt notice it when i had my n/a either. oh well, maybe just paranoia!

R Black
Does it quiten down as the car warms up? Mine also does this but not all the time? i only really notice it with the passenger window down, and it tends to go when warm.
pezzler
i noticed the ticking noise when i switched the stereo off after a drive. so the engine was warm....gunna put it down to the injectors, after putting my ear to them, the noise appears to be coming from there. there we have it, sophisticated diagnostic equipment is the human ear
hadyn
Injectors You are driving a very well built Japanese car, not a Ford or a French car. Do not worry
dangerous brain
My aircon pump makes nasty ticky noises that rise with revs. Dodgy bearings that need dealing with at some point soon. Noises migrate.
Homer
You can check if it's injectors using the simple screwdriver trick. if the ticking is in time with the injectors then you know the cause. They do tend to tick a bit on the older cars, especially when hot.
dangerous brain
It can also be incorrectly shimmed cams can't it? If you are worried you should get a reputable and knowledgeable place to have a proper listen to ease your mind or in fact to save you a huge repair bill if there is something wrong. bignum
Put the end of a long screwdriver on the area you think is making the noise and your earole on the end,
