RobSheffield
On another run the wastegate blew off, completely. The workmanship thats gone into that car is unreal! Oh aye, i can tell that!
Jezz
Ok, so all apart from the rack mounts, but saying that it was the rack part that broke, not the chassis.
jacko
I cant see that chassis breaking. It is top quality stuff
Muffleman
On one run half way down at 130mph, one of the steering rack mounts sheered off and he lost all steering! On another run the wastegate blew off, completely. If I see it on the tarmac at the pod, I'm gonna step away from the fence
jacko
I was at PTM Show at Pod yesterday and i heard them mention that the JPS Supra ran a 7.6 1/4 mile on the Saturday, but they were not sure if they could class it as a new record, because it was at a RWYB, not an actual event. But either way, the car still ran it. It also won the HKS Pro class yesterday uncontested, as the dry sump system failed on the Project GTST Skyline and knackered one of the bearings i think
Matt H
Was at Leons this morning, had a good look over this. The workmanship thats gone into that car is unreal! He was saying he had a few problems on Saturday testing. On one run half way down at 130mph, one of the steering rack mounts sheered off and he lost all steering! Jammed on the anchors and stopped 2" away from the wall. The launch wheelie killed the mount. On another run the wastegate blew off, completely. So things breaking off is good? jacko
I should imagine they were teething problems, as it had only just been built
