Conservatory needs a major service.

Unfortunately no, but my conservatory roof does tend to leak when you least expect it. Well only when its raining, of course!

Its been like that since it was built (about 5 years ago), and the numpties that built it didn't put the finishing 'cap' piece on top, so I've got to get some scaffold and do it myself!

Its irritating when they leak, as you have to be so careful around it, as fixing a broken pane of glass can be very costly!

Mine doesn't leak :D I have to say I am very suprised hahaha. I have a poly roof though, thick one to deflect the sun. Seems to work really well!

Good info there Daz I'll use jif to take the masking tape sticky off mine :)

I've been mightily impressed with the 'work' you've done on your house so far, going by your status on Facebook! ;)

A leaky roof is such a pain, but then you've been through that before haven't you :(

My roof leaks when its a constant drizzly rain, rather than the torrents we had last night. Well I assume it didn't leak, as the tenants haven't been on to me yet today. Maybe they drowned! :search:

Yes that was the actual tiled roof, fixed now :)

It's getting there. ALthough never ending. Did some more floor tiling last night, went into the lounge and closed the curtains and the pole pulled out of the wall. ARGHHHHHH.

Have you heard of The Money Pit ;)

I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end :)

you could knock it down and put up a nice new one lol, I had to do mine a couple of summers ago and it only took a few weekends :D new one is bigger and much better.

You can get special pvc cleaner from ebay that works really well to restore the white (although cif etc works pretty well).

Get a tube of silicone to reseal any joints. Flashband can help or make sure your lead work is in good order against the house.

Tried the internet for local windows firms..

Was lucky as one said he knew the bloke who installed it and said he would try to get him to get in touch with me, risking loosing the deal..

Haven't heard anything as yet though...

See what happens..
