Another Trek thread from me.

Any fans seen there's a new film being planned, set in the very early years of the Enterprise when Pike was on board (was that his name?).

I'm not so sure about the cast though, Zachary Quinn (Syler from Heroes) is playing Spock! And Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz) is Scotty!!

I can see Quinn as Spock, I think he'll be good, and it is supposed to be a young Spock (plus Nimoy is in the case list as well), but still, it just doesn't seem right replacing all those well known faces!!!

What do we think? Can they pull it off? Clever makeup and effects make us think it is actually a young version of the crew we know?

Anyone seen anything else from it? Any clips yet?

clip...it looks mint

Star Wreck - anyone here seen this?

The Star Trek universe is given a comedy makeover in this unmissable feature-length sci-fi adventure parody that's packed with spectacular space action, incredible visual effects, hilarious comedy and zany characters.

Captain James B. Pirk of the Starship C.P.P. Kickstart and his crew, Commander Dwarf and Commander Info, find themselves stranded on 21st Century Earth after a previous adventure to save the planet from hostile aliens. Life is not good and Pirk¿s daily routine consists of stuffing his face at the local fast food restaurant and trying to convince the ladies that he is, in fact, an intergalactic space hero from the future. As the prospects for humanity's conquest of space look increasingly bleaker, Pirk comes up with a questionable plan to save mankind's future...

Created by an ingenious band of die-hard Star Trek fans this terrific sci-fi comedy will have you gripped all the way through to its stunning conclusion! Wreck on!

Saw this last night! Really enjoyed it! (Star Trek)

Think because of the way they have done it, it would appeal more to those who are not so much Die Hard Trekkies but are Sci-Fi fans.

Have a feeling the new cast may not go down so easy with the trekkies but I'm glad they've tried some new things to breathe new life into the francise after Enterprise the series which I wasn't a fan of.

Like the way everything is cruder, dirtier etc as its set at the beginning, nice to know how everyone gets to know each other.

Will definately be making this part of my 1080p HD collection at home!

Was definately worth seeing at the cinema and I am confident that many would feel the same.
