Chris Wilson
It appears thet Motec have today released the mapping software to enable end users to map FBW. In the past Motec have only done this in house, presumably because A: It's hard, and B: It could lead to safety issues. Whatever, they have now released the software, so for those who fancy a play it's here: The Release of DBW4 Manager Software is available from the MoTeC software website: http://www.motec.com.au/software/latestreleases/ MoTeC DBW-4 Software Notes Version 1.02 Including DBW-4 Firmware 1.02 (dbw-4.mot) 7 February 2006 DBW-4 Manager V1.0.2.0 7 February 2006 DBW-4 User Manual. 7 February 2006 Dashsend 14 July 2004 Changes None - First Release Special Requirments Requires ECU Manager V3.30T or later. This version only works with the MoTeC CAN Cable and does not yet support the MoTeC UTC. Important Notes - SAFETY - It is important to configure DBW-4 as a "Drive By Wire" with the Motec DBW-4 Manager when used in a drive by wire application to ensure that all safety features are enabled. - Take care during calibration of the DBW-4, ensure that the throttle body motors are disabled/ disconnected when adjusting the butterfly by hand. If anyone just wants a look see at the user manual without installing the software I have bunged it here: http://www.chriswilson.tv/dbw.pdf Edited August 4, 2008 by Chris Wilson (see edit history)
