Gaz6002
Rob you truly are something else. Sod it, mods get the infraction stick handy. Rob, you really are a pucking frick. What on earth was going through his head when he typed that?? I'm looking forward to hearing his side TBH.
michael
What's with the Rob backlash? What he's said is true isn't it? Or is the infraction stick for your profanity? I do hope so.
_Lynz_
What on earth was going through his head when he typed that?? I'm looking forward to hearing his side TBH. Funny I was just thinking that same thing. Why would you ever write that especially when he saw the impact it had on here. Maybe he's not defended himself cause he knows there is none. Don't see how he can possibly talk his way round it tbh.
michael
Am I reading a different link? There have been two deaths on here recently yes? This isn't a "Krooz" site is it? So what has he said that's wrong? I read it as him saying that there are usually accident related deaths on the more "krooz" related forums, i.e. younger drivers, less experience etc - his point is that there have been similar levels here recently which is high compared to how it's been in the past here and more on a par with the forums that have a more generic multi-marque membership and possibly take part in more cruise-related activities. I don't read it as "yeah stupid kroozer Supra owners died ha ha ha" like some of you seem to be. Or am I unique in my thinking here?
cheekymonkey
I think it would have been better without the word "supposedly" in there IMO

I guess it's down to interpretation but it's bound to provoke a reaction from members who knew the guys who sadly passed away. I can see how some reactions may seem over the top to someone who is impartial, but see it from the other side too.

AndrewOW
I think he was being relatively 'matter-of-fact' too. I re-read what he said, and I don't think he was being demeaning, but commenting on the quoted subject in his post. Still, its still a very sad fact about our losses though
chris2o2
No , this isnt a "krooz" site but him putting "supposedly" makes me it sound like he thinks it may well be one . Im sure he didnt mean any harm but he could have picked his words more carefully .

Rob
Lynz, I haven't defended myself yet because I've only just read this thread. I'm afraid you all won't like this but Michael is correct in his interpretations. I don't personally feel that people who make mistakes should pay with their lives, but that's what happens, and this club has lost two members that way. I've never said "ha ha they deserved it" in fact I've never passed comment at all. The fact is they made bad decisions and they paid with their lives, and that will continue on here, I can guarantee it. The use of "supposedly" states that this club is attracting more or more "krooz" type members as the cars get cheaper, members who can't even string a sentence together without using textspeak, members who flare up at the slightest "dissing" of their cars and a lot of younger members who don't appreciate the power of these cars and don't have the experience to handle it when it goes wrong. Who knows, I may well crash one day too, I still take risks on the road. Chris202, I always pick my words carefully, and I'm well aware that what I write on BB may be seen here. Gazboy, I'm actually not familiar with this infraction system, could you tell me how I might get punished on here for something I've said on another site? I do understand swearing is outlawed now, but I have used swearwords a number of times this year at work, and at home. Do I need to submit a list to the Mods? _Lynz_
I always pick my words carefully, and I'm well aware that what I write on BB may be seen here. All I would say is that I think you could've chosen better on this occasion as you cannot tell tone from something written on the internet. Had the word supposidly not been in there I don't think would've been taken the way it has by some.

I do understand swearing is outlawed now, but I have used swearwords a number of times this year at work, and at home. Do I need to submit a list to the Mods? I think you misunderstood what Gaz meant. He was effectively saying "Mods, get ready to give me an infraction because I'm about to swear in my next sentence"
Rob
Ah right I see. Cor, it's easy to get in a tizzy over this internet lark.
RiceRocket
Do people still get infractions for swearing in posts? I thought the Swear Words Filter negated that.
michael
Do people still get infractions for swearing in posts? I believe so but moderation isn't always carried out to the same set of rules here so anything could happen. I thought the Swear Words Filter negated that. The filter is there to protect people from profanity, not to create a free world where the potty mouth can roam free.

Scott
Do people still get infractions for swearing in posts? I thought the Swear Words Filter negated that. I think it does to a certain degree, there will always be a limit though.. as there should be. I have sworn in a few non NWS threads as i know the filter will make sure the people who don't want to see it wont, however i try not to go OTT with my lack of vocabulary. Dash Rendar
More and more I'm thinking some of the guys here need to take a deep breath before jumping into antagonism mode. Nuff said on that matter. (Sorry...) Back to the original post... I had to chuckle at how the original owner called the kit a "Failside", and how it was later described as a Vileslag kit. Is it me, or does the VS look much worse on a white Supra than other colours? But I have to concur with Gruggs regarding the mentalities of most of the regular posters on BB. They do seem to be a small minded, bitter and jealous bunch.

They do seem to be a small minded, bitter and jealous bunch. I can assure you that the main body of members there are not jealous at all, nor small minded, but certainly bitter. Some drive fast modified cars, others drive mondeos or standard puntos, a lot seem to drive MX-5s but then they are a very nice, sharp handling little sports car. The important point is that it doesn't matter what we drive, we just like taking the piss out of badly modified cars, and to a limited extent their drivers.
