tbourner
Is the Frontline spot-on from vets any different to Frontline you can buy from these online stores? Apart from being much more expensive!! The empty box we've got from the vet says it uses methoprene which is the growth inhibitor that stops any fleas on the cat from producing worthy eggs, so essentially it helps get rid of fleas from the house as well (cos they jump on the cat and then can't produce eggs), but all the online stores just say they kill xx% of fleas and you should also spray the house with a suitable larvae killer thing - so suggests they don't have the growth inhibitor included. Anyone know for sure?
Belly
I know that if you go to a Scats Country store you get the same frontline for about £10 less than the vets.

Jay_vr6
well i just checked my frontline packs and it says 98%-100% flea kill rate etc, the box is the same as in my vets. I go them from http://www.petfleas.co.uk/ Although your vets may do more of a range, the ones i get from the internet have worked 100% for the last 5 yrs though
Paul
' Petmeds.co.uk ' seems cheaper, good service too and free P&P
tbourner
I think I've found out why, it's Frontline Combo that has the methoprene in and requires a vet check and prescription. The normal one is Frontline Spot-On which you can buy any time. Looks like I'll have to pay out for a check up.
