n boost
I watched this on the news yesterday and was amazed how far medical science has come. This is a big leap forward and hopefully should work out for the guy. I was listening to the surgeon who said the hardest part was figuring out what veins/nerves attached where and in which direction of flow....a bit like a engine transplant me thinks! Pete
Hmm.. We'll see how it goes. Having seen similar 'breakthroughs' and how they went wrong I'd say we've still got a long way to go. What happened to the person who had the face transplant in France a year or so ago?
Professor Kenny
Blimey, that's awesome. Hope he does really well with them. I always get the fear when I hear about people losing arms and hands: I can't imagine what I'd do if I couldn't play the guitar any more!
