Supragal
It's been about 10 years since I've been into MTB's. I've had a few since but never really got on with any of them so I decided to try and find the same one I had all that time ago. Found the perfect one in the US but the guy hasn't replied for ages, I'm guessing he realised how much hassle it would be shipping to the UK. Anyway I found one over here, wrong colour and a much lower spec than mine was component wise but I think I'll have to live with the colour and swap bits out as I find them. Sent the payment today so I'm really hoping I'll have it next week or early the one after. Already been on ebay looking for similar parts to the ones I had and have bid on a few. Very excited!!!! Supragal
Oh yeah that would help! Mine was a Cannondale Killer V900, this one is a Killer V500 - same frame/forks but lower spec bits. Here is a pic of the new one. Only old ones are in MBUK and there is no way I'm sharing those!!! Pic attached, I've bid on a front magura race line (need to find rear somewhere!) and a ringle bottle cage and a ringle front hub Also blagged XT mechs from a mate that he has spare. RedM
Ooh Canonndale. Lovely frames. I always wanted one myself. I wound up with an Orange Vitamin T. I also recall many hours spent staring in awe at Klein's Adroit frame.

I also recall many hours spent staring in awe at Klein's Adroit frame. Get one then! In 1994 when I got mine they were £1400, I just paid £225 for that one. Affordable now and still My mate had an Orange clockwork or something and another mate had a Klein, not sure which one but it was really nice
Class One
Oh I couldn't live with a hardtail at all. I still love my Marin Attack Trail.
Supragal
I hate suspension!! Even front, hence fully rigid frameset!!! Full sus looks cool but it's horrible to ride IMHO

Full sus looks cool but it's horrible to ride IMHO It's like riding on a carpet of air. Plus you can lock out the sus at both ends for roadwork or climbs. I doubt if I'd enjoy having full suspension if I couldn't at least lock out the rear suspension
dangerous brain
Erm I had to pedal power to work today and I have to say its a rather pants form of transport. For starters you have to actually make it go under your own bodily exertion. Sorry but that just goes against the grain with me Wheres the damn engine on these things

Just wait until it gets windy. Its no fun at all, unless you're going downwind. Eastbourne is a bit breezy most of the time, which means having to make an effort
tDR
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=152218&highlight=mountain+bike ^^ I got a hardtail not long ago - GT Avalanche 1.0 It's pretty good, other than the budget front sus fork that I'll likely upgrade at some point cos it's waaaaay too soft for me. Cheers, Brian.

Yeah I looked at an iron horse full sus that could be locked out but they are just too heavy, no matter what they do to them they'll never be as light as a rigid bike. Plus it was £600 2nd hand and I couldn't afford that.
