JustGav
Not to my liking to be honest... Something about it, just doesn't sit right. I think it maybe the long dash. I like my supra/bmw e36 tight cockpit style.
supra_aero
its better looking than the gtr which is what matters
Gaz6002
As with the Lotus Evora the pics really don't do it any justice. In the metal it's a hugely imposing car with a lot of presence.

Its deemed as a big cruiser - if it was a Ferrari then the 100k may be acceptable but not a lexus, 60K maybe 512bhp is more than the GTR is "said" to come with. It will also be lighter... the rumoured GTR V spec will be a different matter but that's also going to be a LOT more expensive than the base model. I think it will be close... until it comes to a corner

Gaz6002
Confusing pictures there...some are very old, one is more recent...anyone got pictures with a recent date ? I will have some from yesterday but need to get my friends camera first. I can confirm that this is the right pic though (bear in mind it was still labelled as a concept although it will be very close to the production model: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=2056470&postcount=

Alex
Why must people talk about the GT-R when the LF-A is brought up?? They are totally different and will appeal to different people. Just cause they both come from the same country.... As for the grills in the back being bad, how on earth would you get rid of the heat from the radiators then?? The LF-A will be extremely good at what it's meant to do - that doesn't mean it has to lap faster than a GT-R round some twatty track! I for one prefer creature comforts and overall pleasure in my driving environment to knowing I can corner at lunatic speeds on a track....I'd have an LF-A over a GT-R. I think its because (skylines) GTR/supra/rx7 generally always competed for the same market. Thus there will always be a comparison.

supra_aero
Except when people mention the GTR no one mentions the RX8... wonder why are they that far apart though(GTR and LFA - they are both 3 initials too )? They are relatively closely priced 55k-80k. They are both aimed at mid-high end priced sports car buyers. I think they will be competing against the same customer base to be honest. Potential GTR owners are not potential laborghini owners generally speaking. The previous supra and skylines were competing for porsche owners and I don't see how these will be any different

If you want a car that is a computer on wheels and will pretty much drive itself, buy the GTR. If you want to look and sound a bit more refined/classy and get a more direct driving experience get the Lexus. Of course a lot of that is supposition but that's the impression I get from the mountain of gumpf surrounding the PR wagon that is the GTR. You brought up the Lambo thing to confuse things more IMO - because neither car is aimed at that either. If anything the Lotus Evora and the LF-A will compete, along with Merc SL series cars and maybe some BMW M series cars. Oh, and yes, dynamically and aesthetically the LF-A and GTR are worlds apart. supra_aero
agree in part I suppose. Point making lambo is the target market isn't that and its not clearly not rx8 . Anyway I like it which is what matters most.
Bobbeh
I think it looks great, much improved, if only in a few areas from the concept I saw over 3 years ago.

colsoop
I like that a lot, certainly a luxury sports GT car. Who have Toyota decided to compete against ? Definitely in Porsche territory, maybe Audi. Aston Martin. It is certainly more extreme styling and looks wise than anything currently on the market. jevansio
I'd defo consider dropping the 911 for that, not sure about that red colour though, the scream of the V10 is a big plus for me.
Havard
I think a lot of the prestige of owning certain cars is knowing how much they cost. I think the GTR may suffer as it is seen as "cheap" at £55k ish. Once you break the 100K barrier it doesn't really matter what the car is, people will admire it...................unless it's f*ck ugly, obviously!! Still a Lambo Gallardo is the best looking car I have come accross, shame I'll never have one...... H.
dangerous brain
That is shockingly nice. I think they will have done the lights like that to produce a whole new round of lexus lights Seems to be a design spec these days, outstanding lights that will be copied by chavs the world over. Lexus IS rear lights, BMW angel eyes, Audi's row of LEDS. That car seems to me to fill pretty much the design spec of the mk4 supra but in this modern age. A comfortable cruiser, that looks amazing and visually at least on a par with anything on the market currently, with the deemed highest power engine at toyota's disposal, that can if needs be handle a race circuit, be the top of toyota's line up, and be relatively affordable to porsche, TVR type people that could be tempted.
