James
Right, this could be a really silly question, it's something I've completely lost the head with as I'm doing too many Uni reports and feel a bit silly that I don't know what the deal is anyway! Anyways... My wheels are currently scrubbing a wee bit on the lip of my arch when I take corners hard if slightly cambered. I have 18" wheels with 225/45/18 tyres and they are ET42 (if I remember right). I'm buying new alloys in the very near future, and have discovered they are ET40. I was intending on going for 215/35/18 tyres this time round to give a wee bit more room both width-wise and also I need to see to the camber of the wheels aswell. What I was wondering, would it be advisable putting on something like 7mm spacers to avoid any problems on the inside edge or should I be fine enough by doing the different tyre size even though there is the smaller offset? Thanks!
