RedM
Better than I expected. As my other half wanted to see this we took advantage of Orange Wednesdays. It's a proper feel-good film. At first I thought it'd be one of those chick flicks with constant squealing and air-kisses but it gradually turned into a fairly harmless bit of brain candy with some chuckles thrown in. It's funny and singalong-tastic. Pierce Brosnan is a revelation in it but the real star of the show is the beautiful Greek scenery. 4/

Jake
Haven't seen the film but I saw the stage show of MM in Las Vegas. I wasn't expecting much but really rather enjoyed it. (Other) People did sing along and danced in the aisles, especially towards the end.
stevie_b
Me and my other half saw this yesterday. RedM was spot on with his review. It's very well made, and actually funny in places.
marc_p
Iv'e seen it, would of been alright if they didn't burst into song and dance every 5 minutes.
Charlotte
I went to see the stage version in August for my sister's birthday. It was so good - I'd definitely recommend it. The added bonus was lots of very fit men in scubba diving gear.

That's kind of the point of musicals, Mr. 40 watt. Dare I ask, Mike. What was funny about my comment?
marc_p
That's kind of the point of musicals, Mr. 40 watt. And that is exactly my point, I would of liked it if it wasn't a musical as the plot was entertaining enough. Dare I ask, Mike. What was funny about my comment? I don't think he likes the Greek scenery;)

Tannhauser
Mr. 40 watt. Very good, I must remember that one. Mrs Tannhauser did tentatively suggest going to see Mama Mia but was quickly silenced by a withering look of disdain.
RedM
Very good, I must remember that one. Mrs Tannhauser did tentatively suggest going to see Mama Mia but was quickly silenced by a withering look of disdain. You should watch it. I thought I was going to hate it and for the first girlie squealing ten minutes I thought I was right. Then the scenery took hold, the brain switched off and it proved to be not at all unpleasant. I can't wait to watch it again. It'll be even better with half a bottle of wine inside me.
Tannhauser
I'm so grumpy and arrogant that I wouldn't let myself enjoy it. I'd rather have a miserable experience so that I could say I was right all along. (I say yes to life). I do think Piers Brosnan is good, though. I thought he was amazing in The Matador.
