I need a media rig for the new place :)

Have you not a Dell server you should be playing with? ;)

I would have thought that a chap who spends his days building and fixing PCs would have a few spares hanging around to chuck a Media PC together :innocent:

The Dell is filling a gap but it's being a server / learning tool - I just need to play BF2 and it's not too happy with 16mb graphics on Server 2003 :)

I have, just want a faster one :D

I doubt the video card will do HDCP, perhaps you fancy it?

I have a cheapo card on order for the Dell, just enough to let the basics do the basics with no requirement for the PSU to be upgraded etc

When you get this one (I presume I won't) maybe you can cobble together a BF2 capable machine for me out of sympathy? ;)

Ill see what I can do. I may not get it, your postal offer was in before my collection offer don't forget.

You probably want a little more than a 7600GT 256 for BF2 anyway. In fact you will want more. Ex BF whore here.

Slightly Tron like? Treat yourself, will last years. 8800GT or 9600GT are good and reasonably priced :)

I was happy enough with the old setup and managed to be quite efficient :)

I'd like to treat myself, I just can't bring myself to spank that kind of cash on a full system, hence my interest in this, I don't even need a monitor, just a motherboard, CPU, graphics card and memory really, I have the rest it's just that each time I look to buy anything I end up coming out with a £2000 gaming rig in my basket and have to set my switch card on fire :)
