I found a lot of the questions to be a bit opened ended in terms of situational awareness so a lot of the answers i felt a bit 50/50 on but had to pick y/n anyone else find this ? best example I an give is the where you position yourself in a room, as different rooms I will sit/stand in different places: an example of this is I will usually be in the centre of the room at a party/event IE dancefloor/mosh pit :eyebrows: but at the wake of a good friends funeral the other week I stayed to the edge of the room and left when they were about to start a disco up. I also think the answers could be different from a person depending on how much alcohol they have had and would be interesting to answer when spannered :) guess i better start my research then ;)

It's a fun test, but personally I think these trait tests are a bit of a blunt instrument.

The feeling of the test describing us accurately comes partly, I think, from the Forer effect (well worth reading). Although the Forer effect is usually invoked to explain how horoscopes and psychic readings seem uncannily accurate, I think it applies equally to personality tests. 's a natural tendency to home in on those parts of the personality evaluation that fit and give these much more weight than those statements that don't fit.

This might be amplified in this particular test by the use of great historical figures as exemplars. I was very happy to be the same 'type' as Immanuel Kant* and Mohandas Ghandi

*Actually, many people have made this comparison before - at least I think that's what they were saying. e.g. "You're a complete Kant", "Out of the way, Kant", etc.
