wkdtime
Will be test driving a 6 speed j spec soop on tueday, have viewed the car and llike it, but when test drove it could not hit more than 0.5 bar was told this was due to the clutch sipping alot, and the car did not seem to pull, the clutch will be replaced on tuesday and will test drive it again (i have lfet £100 deposit with him, if i like the car i pay the rest if i dont i get my money back) so what i would like to know, is what boost should i expect? and in what rev's?, when does the 2nd turbo come in and again in what rev's and would shoud be the peak boost? should the boost hold to redline? advice needed guys! thanx. hadyn
errrm as far as im aware boost isnt related to clutch slip - hence if your clutch is slipping you'll still make the desired level of boost. In my auto with both cats in and a HKS dragger cat back it makes 0.7 bar until the second turbo comes in and then it peaks at 0.9 bar
Tom
Yep, from 3rd you should be seeing a least 0.8 bar (depending on how modified) till redline from 4k when both turbo's are online. If it's still not making more than 0.5 then I'd walk away, it should be making at least 0.7 so something is up with the sequential system, it could be something simple as a hose being fitted the wrong way round, but It doesn't seem worth buying a car when your running straight in to boost problems! wkdtime
its got a hks dragger exhaust and blitz BOV no other mods, standard apart from that, so i shouldd see what the boost reads in 3rd gear, so at 4 rpm i should see atleast 0.8bar minimum? appreciate this guys.
