Chris Wilson
Looking for contact with UK based metallurgists who can ID the type of cast iron used in casting an exhaust manifold from a sample I have, and an idea of the costs to do this. Anyone any contacts, preferably in the Midlands area? Thanks.
Scooter
Chris if you have no luck getting a direct contact it may be worth contacting "Material Science and Engineering" universities. Manchester and Sheffield spring to mind, they normally have all the equipment to ID a materials makeup and from the link below... http://sheffield.ac.uk/materials/contact ....would seem to do a degree of work for third parties. could be worth an email. Chris Wilson
No, nothing like that, it's actually a Skyline single turbo manifold made by HKS. Cheers though.

Got the following reply this AM, thanks Chris, I think that we may be able to accommodate you. I will forward your e-mail to a colleague - his name is Dr Martin Highett and he is the manager of our Nanotechnology Centre. They may be able to analyse for the Nickel content and he will be able to discuss costs. If nothing happens say by the middle of next week please contact me again preferably using the mobile number shown below. Thanks Jim
