Guest phil_n
just a quick one about fitting an aftermarket filter to an n/a. a lot of kits i have seen remove the air flow sensor. by doing so can this cause any damage to the engine at all?? i take it the plug for the air flow sensor is just left dangling. thanks. stevie_b
Deviating a bit from your question, but ensure you can feed the air filter with air from outside the engine bay. As for your question, hopefully someone more knowledgable than me will be along soon.
Matt _Aero top_
Don't do it ..... Ya better off just changing the panel filter for a decent aftermarket one . there have been proven tests that the standard airbox is the best
Guest phil_n
i see, part of the appeal of the induction kit is also the deeper throatysound you get at high revs. im not too fussed about gaining the power but wouldnt want to loose any if that makes sense!! Matt _Aero top_
Buy a nice exhaust system then and gain the two at the same time ...... power and a nice sound
Rob
I would suggest you buy one that accommodates the sensor. I don't think Toyota put the sensor there for "shitz n giggles"

Nic
As said buy an induction kit specifically for the NA. Power Enterprise and Apexi both do good quality kits for the NA.
