A friend popped over last night and I showed him the forum and he said "oh this site looks just like the FIAT forum that I am member to"....and I also have been researching a few others and found that they are the same too.

Now I know, thanks...

Forums like these are open source ready built software(please correct me if i'm wrong), thats why they all look the same!

vBulletin is licensed software.

http://vbulletin.com

We currently offer two types of license: leased and owned. The leased license will allow you to run the software on your server for one year, and then you will need to purchase another license. The owned license will allow you to run the software on your server for an unlimited amount of time and allows access to all new versions for one year. After the year, you can purchase a renewal of this access. For more information, please click on the links in the "Product Information" section on the left hand side of the page.

There are other BBS outthere that are open source like phpBB2 etc etc
